We have had a very strange winter! The other day it was so warm it made my soul
so hopeful maybe we would have an early spring.
Then the next day it was grey, ugly and FREEZING. This weather has been unusual and I am so
nervous for the plants. It is the end of
February and my cherry tree has buds on it!!!
I try to tell it, “No not yet, it is way too early to be budding! You need to wait a few more weeks!” Yet you can see for yourself, my tree is not
listening to me:

I have new life coming up in my flower bed too and I think, “Oh
no, you’re early! I hope you don’t
freeze to death!”
The lawn is the only thing around here that looks like it is
still hibernating. I think the lawn is
smart. You can’t really tell but there
is some morning frost on the lawn.
We will wait and see how it goes but I wish Mother Nature
would get it together and get on track with normal weather patters. The poor plants are so confused. I just hope it is a good year for
tomatoes. We have eaten our way through all
of our canned salsa and I can’t wait to make some more! Mmmmm…nothing is better than homemade canned
salsa!
